Making Pocketbook of Poetry

"Making Pocketbooks of Poetry" at @catcafestudio offers an immersive experience in an interactive, creative, generative writing workshop. Participants will delve into minimalist poetry, crafting five short poems that will be compiled into unique, tiny clusters. Read and discuss poems from various traditions during the first half, followed by the creation of personalized pocketbooks in the second half, providing a rich library of minimalist poetry for inspiration and discussion. Experiment with diverse forms such as chits, secret notes in bundled clothes, writings on necklaces, painted dried leaves, or folded into tiny zines, challenging conventional notions of poetry.
