THE MANUSHYA PUTHIRAN POETRY CRAWL

Set in Chennai. S Abdul Hameed, alias Manushya Puthiran, has been an integral part of Tamil Nadu’s contemporary poetry and social culture. Most recently, he was part of the process that brought in ramps at Chennai’s beaches, making them accessible for folks with disabilities as well. His poems are read along these beach promenades, while taking in the history of the coastal city, its native heritage and colonial infrastructure.
